"Not Me" Monday

It's another "Not Me" Monday, a blog carnival started by MckMama as a way to get things off your chest...without really fessing up to them!

Remember that hat I've been "borrowing" from my friend who forgot it at my house? This week I did NOT lose it. Of course not. Because I've been so responsible to keep it in a safe place until I can return it, remember? No, I did not lose it at Target. It's a good thing I didn't either, or I would have had to call Target, leave a description with my name and number, and pray someone would find it. And it's a good thing I didn't have to breathe a huge sigh of relief when I returned to Target the next day and found it at the service desk. Whew!

I did not notice a strange smell in the laundry room this week. It didn't cross my mind that it smelled as though maybe something had died down there. I did not send my husband down to investigate, and thank God he did NOT find a dead, stinking mouse! I'm glad none of that ever happened so I don't have to shiver every time I go downstairs.

And this one takes the cake...

There is no way on God's earth I would ever accidentally allow my mother-in-law to find out we were pregnant again...on facebook. It's a good thing too, since she is "not" the gracious and understanding type who would forgive me for such a blunder (had I made it, that is). If any of this had transpired and she actually had forgiven me, I would not make a bold, public announcement that MY MOTHER-IN-LAW ROCKS for forgiving me! ;) (love you, G.)

Bet you can't top that one, but give it a try in the comments section!

There is NO WAY my mother-in-law would be as forgiving as yours. In fact, we told her and my father-in-law when we were pregnant over the phone (they live several states away), but my brothers- and sisters-in-law did find out on Facebook... and it started World War 3 in our family. CHAOS!

Well at least when your husband got to the scene of the mouse incident, he didn't find a sticky trap with a live, squeaky mouse and two dead mice that had been there indefinitely. Not that that sort of a thing ever happened in my apartment...

Okay, neither of these top yours, but here are a couple:

I did NOT completely forget to call home to tell them I arrived safely in SD on Thursday . . . and I especially did not have the thought run through my head, and then fly out again as I began to see friends I had not seen in weeks. My mom did not have to call me while we were out eating and I did not have to apologize for forgetting.

And I did not accidentally ditch one of my new friends when I caught sight of another friend I'd been anxiously waiting to see. I didn't lose her, and traipse all over the hotel and conference center in search of her. And it did not take one of my other friends finding her and letting me know where she was.

This past weekend I did not carelessly slam into the back of another car because I was more concerened with making it through the intersection when it was only on orange than making sure I wasnt too close to the car in front of me who for whatever reason thought it was okay to stop for an orange light. Cuz if that were to happen which it didnt, I wouldnt have been so lucky as having the other car not care for whatever reason to pull over and check for damages, but instead drive off. Because of course, I dont have that kind of luck. So good thing it didnt happen! :)
