In referense to our communication to others yes, Christians should strive not to be passive. But in others communication to us, there is room for Christians to be passive. The whole "turn the other cheek" message.

I was getting more at the "I'd rather you be hot or cold; but because you are lukewarm, I will spew you out of my mouth" message.
